Membership in Sunshine State One Call is your first step in preventing damages to your underground facilities, avoiding costly services outages and protecting the safety of your customers. It is also mandatory for owners and operators of underground facilities in Florida. (s.556.104 of the “Underground Facility Damage Prevention and Safety Act,” Chapter 556, Florida Statutes.)

As a member, you will be notified when an excavator is digging near your underground facilities so that you can locate and mark them. Members are billed monthly at the rate of 95 cents per standard ticket transmission, 94 cents per late notice transmission, and 48 cents per duplicate ticket transmitted.

During the application process, you will develop a map of your service area. Our computers use this information to properly route locate tickets to you based on the information provided by an excavator. Mapping your service area is done online through Irth Internet, giving you easy access and extraordinary flexibility.

Joining is a simple process:

1. Complete the membership application.
2. Build your service area using the tools in the Irth System. These tools let you draw the boundaries right on the system map. You can also upload shape files.
3. Complete the Database Activation Form and send to Member Services to signal that you have completed building your service area. Member Services will compare pending changes in your database with the form and then activate your service area.
4. Begin receiving locate tickets.
