A 21-member board sets policy for SSOCOF's operation and makes overall decisions for the company. The Board of Directors meets quarterly. Elections are held each May at the annual membership meeting.

Directors and industry constituents make up SSOCOF's standing and ad-hoc committees. Committee meetings are scheduled in conjunction with board meetings and as needed. The Executive Committee meets two months prior to board meetings.

• Board Meeting - Directors vote on policy and motions presented by committees.

• Operations Committee - Members focus on issues that affect the operation of the call center.

• Damage Prevention Committee - Members address compliance, safety and damage prevention issues as well as communications and marketing strategy.

• Finance Committee - Members focus on financial issues that affect SSOCOF’s budget and financial reporting.

• Executive Committee - Members develop Board Meeting agendas and work on other special projects as assigned.

All SSOCOF board and committee meetings are open to the public. Audience participation is welcomed. To address the board during the open discussion time, complete a "Request to Speak" form and hand it to a board member before the meeting or during a break prior to open discussion. Become a director
Prior to the annual election in May, submit a letter on company letterhead stating your intention and your company’s willingness to endorse you as a director. Click here for a sample letter to use.
